The Tonle Bassac slum in Phnom Penh is one of the most gritty parts of Cambodia's capitol city. The concrete buildings and surrounding shantytown are home to a sort of university where young students practice traditional Cambodian theater, dance and music in daily classes.
The remnant of a decaying housing project, the main building is known locally as "Bo Ding," a Khmer adaptation of the English word, "building."
